On 12 September we’ll be welcoming friends and colleagues to The Driver, Kings Cross, for drinks, nibbles, and a very lively debate! A networking highlight, our seminars are a great chance to catch up on the sector news, make new friends, and listen to some exciting and informative discussions.
This year our speakers will be focusing on community, collaboration and cash: how we can keep up momentum and ensure sustainability stays on the agenda when funding is limited and budgets are squeezed.
They are:
Phil Downing: Phil is Director of Icaro consulting, a strategic research consultancy whose primary focus is behaviour change - in individuals, communities and organisations. Phil is an expert in consumer motivations and messaging having led research into public attitudes in relation to climate change at Ipsos Mori, explored customer reactions to Energy Performance Certificates for Consumer Focus and worked on DECC's Big Energy Shift campaign.
Daniel Vockins: Daniel is the Lead Organiser of the Campaigns Team at the New Economics Foundation, where he runs the New Economic Organisers Network programme. He was also one of the founders of the 10:10 campaign, where he still works as campaign strategist, currently developing new models of renewable energy ownership. Daniel is also a Trustee of the youth empowerment charity Envision.
Clare Hierons: Clare is Chief Executive at Pure Leapfrog, a business-led charity that channels free professional advice from leading service providers across a range of disciplines into UK and international carbon reduction projects. Clare's experience gives her a unique insight into how partnerships and collaboration between difference facets of society can support successful delivery of low carbon projects and overcome hurdles to growth.
