Green Deal Workshops - done and dusted!
June and July have been colossally busy for SE2, organising and then delivering 11 breakfast briefings on the Green Deal on behalf of DECC and the Energy Efficiency Partnership for Buildings.
All 11 events took place within one month (running from 22nd June to 20th July) across the country - from Glasgow down to Plymouth and many places inbetween. We've visited race courses, football grounds, hotels and museums - and travelled nearly 4000 miles to deliver the sessions (yes, we'll be off-setting!). About 2000 people were offered a place at one of the sessions, and still we had to turn another 1000 away.
We've booked venues, hotels and trains, managed the booking system, dealt with delgates, briefed speakers, collated presentations, gathered frequently asked questions, circulated agendas, maps and delegate lists, chaired meetings, churned out name badges, provided answers to a multitude of telephone enquirers... the list just goes on.
And it's nice to know we're appreciated too - here's what our client, Nicola O'Connor (Head of Green Deal Measures and Supply Chain at DECC) had to say about our efforts:
"SE2 managed a series of 11 Green Deal events on behalf of DECC. Our timescales were incredibly challenging, and the format untested. SE2 delivered the events with professionalism and care, and as a result they were a great success. SE2 contributed expertise on event management as well as on energy efficiency matters, but I was most impressed by their willingness to go the extra mile to deliver an exceptional service and to solve problems. I would not hesitate to recommend SE2 for future projectsā€¯.
Same again next year, anyone?
